Dorothy Mae Singleton

Dorothy Mae Singleton, 92, of Otway passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at her residence.  She was born on September 13, 1929 in Hardburley, Kentucky to the late Joe and Essie York Carroll.  On June 13, 1946 she was united in marriage to Orbin Jason Singleton who preceded her death on July, 14, 1987.  Surviving are her daughter; Lorene Little of West Union; grandchildren, Dorothy (Randy) Parsons, Angela Huffman, Jason Nigh, Andrea (Dave) McCroskey, Leonard (Tina) Little and Brenda K (Brian) Smith; 23 great grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Jamison of Peebles and Doris Gore of Indiana; son-in-law, Thomas Nigh; brother, Chester (Janet) Carroll of Dayton, sister in law, Anita Carroll of Indiana and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her children; Marvin Singleton, Linda Nigh, Bettie Singleton and Wanda Kirkhart; son in law, Tom Little and siblings, Eugene Carroll, Junior Carroll, ER Carroll, Mary Vanover, Edith Vest, Lois Gilbert and Carl Carroll.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with David Huffman officiating.  Burial will follow in Beech Fork Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
