Homer David Goddard
Homer David Goddard, 85 of Minford passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at his residence. Born September 8, 1936 in Portsmouth to the late Homer William and Dorothy Lewis Goddard, he was a conductor for N&S Railroad for 42 years, was in the National Guard and was a former member of Morgan Township Fire Department. Homer was a member Minford Bible Baptist Church, of Gideons International, and the Portsmouth Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Conley Campbell Goddard; two daughters, Terri (Shannon) Campbell-Horton, Karen (David) Davis; three sons, Randy (Sherri) Campbell, David Goddard, Rick (Christine) Goddard; twelve grandchildren, Shonacy (Bryan) Conley, Josh (Ashley) Mason, Miranda Campbell, Heath (Brandy) Campbell, Michal Campbell, Keisa Davis-Schned Garrett Davis, Nick Davis, Sarah Goddard, Seth (Caitlyn) Goddard, Lexi (Tate) Skeens, Cheyene French, and many great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Willie.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Minford Bible Baptist Church in Minford with Pastor Brett McGraw and Gary Brown officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the church from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Valley Township Volunteer Fire Department where his daughter Terri is fire chief, P.O. Box 595, Lucasville, Ohio 45648 or Minford Volunteer Fire Department where his son Rick is assistant fire chief, 8484 State Route 335, Minford, Ohio 45653.
