Joni Sue McGraw, 59, of Portsmouth, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus after a brave battle with cancer. She was born June 16, 1962, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Linda Eileen and John Sheridan McGraw.

A homemaker, Joni was a 1980 graduate of Portsmouth High School and a Christian. She enjoyed spending her time with her family and grandchildren whenever possible.

Surviving are her children, Barry D. Frost of Viola, WI and Kayla A. Thomas of Portsmouth; three grandchildren, Kinleigh A. Frost, Santiago Thomas Perez and Reina Lin Thomas Chavez; two sisters, Betty Ann McGraw and Crystal Jean McGraw, both of Portsmouth; beloved nieces, Jaime Lin Wright, Amanda Eileen Frost and Brittany Sue (Kole) Frost Lewsader; several great-nieces and nephews, John Nelson, Autumn Wright, Annabelle and Moy Reyes, Charles Hicks, Braydyn and Liliana Frost, and Kloee, Kooper and Kami Lewsader; a special friend, Manuel Chavez; and her best friend, Diana Hicks of Cincinnati.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Dennis Dawes, minister, officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10 A.M. until the funeral hour.
