Mary Nell Padron

Mary Nell Padron, of Portsmouth Ohio died Tuesday, November 9th, 2021, at Hospice House, Dayton Ohio.  She was born September 18, 1928, in Pikeville, Ky.  The daughter of the late Trall and Violet Rogers.  She was preceded in death by her husband Roger Padron, whom she married October 24th, 1953, on Cardenas Cuba, and two brothers.

Mary Nell, was a graduate of Pikeville College and The University of Kentucky.  She taught elementary education in Pikeville and Portsmouth, before becoming a mother and full-time homemaker.  She was a member of Second Presbyterian, and active in Central Presbyterian too.  She also participated in Portsmouth Garden Club.

She is survived by her three children, Maria Keller of Bonita Springs, FL, Sylvia (David) Shockman, Bismarck, ND, and Lydia (Bradley) Wilmington, OH, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

There will be a private family service at McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville, with Rev. Allison Bauer officiating, committal at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Second Presbyterian Church, 801 Waller St. Portsmouth, OH 45662, or a charity of your choice.
