William “Bill” Aldridge
William “Bill” Aldridge, 81 of Lucasville passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 at his residence. Born May 11, 1940 in Hamlin, Ohio, a son of the late Joseph Edsel and Clara Bell Williams Aldridge, he was a firefighter, and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He is survived by a daughter, Stephanie (Michael) Oppy; and a son, Stephen (Tanya) Aldridge; four grandchildren, Amanda Oppy, Brandon Oppy, Zachary Aldridge, Alexus Aldridge; and two great grandchildren; Isiah Riffe, and Gabriella Miller; and a sister, Mary Spradlin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou Aldridge on November 13, 2018.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2021 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Kenny Estep officiating. Burial will be at Universal Cemetery in Rubyville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday prior to the service. Firefighter and Military graveside rites will be conducted by Portsmouth Fire Department Honor Guard and James Irwin Post No. 622 American Legion and William A. Baker Post No. 363.
