Jeremy Scot Jenkins

Jeremy Scot Jenkins, 42, died peacefully in the arms of his wife on October 2, 2021 at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
Jeremy was born April 8, 1979 in Chillicothe, OH to the late Harold Jenkins and Beverly (Lyon) Tackett who survives.
Jeremy was united in marriage on September 28, 2013 to his wife Jami (Tomlin) Jenkins. They have one child, a son Jordan, who was born June 29, 2017.
Jeremy is survived by his wife Jami, son Jordan, parents Beverly and Larry Tackett, brother Josh and Angel Jenkins, sister Rachel and Mark Smith; grandparents, Dick and Crow Lyon. Also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who he loved like family.

Jeremy was a driven person and had a work ethic like no other. He worked in the log buying business for most of his adult life and eventually started his own business. Due to his dedication and hard work his business was a success and thriving.

Jeremy had many hobbies which included fishing, shooting his guns, traveling and taking family vacations. He loved spending time with Jami and Jordan. His favorite thing to do was to attend car shows. He had a love for vehicles, especially mini trucks. He has owned and built several over the years that he loved and was very proud of. Jeremy acquired many friends due to this hobby and was a member of a club called “Severed Ties”. These people were not only friends but became more like family.
Jeremy was an all around great man and will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday October 8, 2021 at Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene in Wheelersburg with Pastor Douglas Brown and Jason Koch officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 AM to 1 PM at the church.
