Gregory Oliver Davis

Gregory Oliver Davis, 35 of Jackson, Ohio, formerly of Stockdale, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021 after an extended battle with COVID-19. Born May 28, 1986 at Fort Riley, Kansas. The son of Marsha Sollars Davis of Jackson and the late Perry G. Davis.

Greg is survived by brothers, P.J. (Jess) of West Portsmouth, Jeff (Dana) of Jackson and sister, Tiffany (Jason) Jones of Beaver. Greg’s joy was his 6 nieces and nephews, Elizabeth (Wes) Hawkins, Dakota Davis, Drake Davis, Alexis Davis, Aubrey Jones and Dylan Jones and 1 great niece Eliana Hawkins. No uncle ever loved and supported family like Greg. His time with them was quality each and every time.

Although not brothers his friendships with his best friends from Jr. High, Tim Tombinson and cousin, Nick Davis was a bond set in stone. Whether they were magnet fishing, vacation time, gaming or hunting with PJ, Jeff, Tim or Nick these guys were Greg’s go to posse. Just a call away.

Greg leaves his girlfriend, Carol Rose, her children, Breanna, Michael and Wesely. Carol’s love and care long with his relationship with each of her kids, who he loved as his own, was treasured.

Also Tea McAvena of Gallipolis, Greg’s former wife, shared so many wonderful and adventurous years together that they remained friends until his passing. the family appreciates her love and friendship.

Greg was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bert and Zena Steinhauer Davis and maternal grandparents, Joe and Lula Sollars.

Greg worked for Portsmouth Ambulance and recently Jackson Transportation. Greg loved his pet geico Raptor, his white pick-up, anything with an American flag, working his 3-D printer and hunting with P.J. and Jeff.

Greg loved a good joke or prank and laughing long and hard. He had a huge sense of humor that he shared freely. Greg also loved with all his heart. We will miss Lil Greg as he was known best to those who loved him but we are blessed and grateful to have Lil Greg in our lives and been loved by him.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Ronnie Hines officiating. A private burial will be at Stockdale Cemetery in Stockdale. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the funeral.
