Oneida Kay Boggs

Oneida Kay Boggs, 69, of Lucasville, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at her residence.

She was born January 31, 1952, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Charles and Betty Marie Phipps Carver Jr.

Kay was a former Administrative Assistant for Edgewood Manor and a retired Caseworker for Job and Family Services. She was a 1970 Northwest High School graduate and member of Big Run United Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond and Jerry Carver.

Kay is survived by her daughter, Shelley Boggs of Lucasville; her son, Billy (Patricia) Boggs of Wheelersburg; three grandchildren, Emily, Josh, and Catie Boggs; and three brothers, Ralph (Gail) Carver, Marvin (Karla) Carver, both of Lucasville, and Tom (Donna) Carver of Florida.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon, Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Big Run United Baptist Church with Amos Moore and Skip Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Big Run Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Monday till the funeral hour Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
