Eddie Franklin Stone Sr

Eddie Franklin Stone Sr, 94 of Aberdeen, Ohio, died Friday September 10, 2021 at his home. He was born June 9, 1927 in Greenup County, Kentucky to the late James and Caroline Rister Stone.

He was a engine mechanic and a jack of all trades. He was a member of Hillsboro Open Door Community Church.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sons; Jim, Robert and Eddie Stone and 7 brothers; Harry, Elwood, Clifford, Finley, James, Lloyd and Henry Stone along with 2 sisters; Gracie and Nellie Stone.

Eddie is survived by his wife Charlene Heflin Stone, who he married on June 18, 1982, 2 sons; Leeroy and Eddie (Amanda Lucas) Stone Jr., 4 daughters; Donna Stone, Karen Sue Heflin, Mary Rister and JoAnn (Mike) Roberts, a sister-in-law, Alice Stone, 24 grandchildren 49 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren, along with special caregivers; Mayne Mazariegos, Raymond Setty and Geneva Royster.

Funeral services will be 1:00PM Friday September 17, 2021 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Mark Edwards officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday starting at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home.
