Martha Rachel Altman Ball,

Martha Rachel Altman Ball, 91, of McDermott, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Rest Haven Nursing Home in McDermott.

She was born July 2, 1930, in South Charleston, Ohio, a daughter of the late James Emory and Sarah Margaret Crabtree Altman.

Martha was a long-standing member of the Community of Christ (formerly the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints). She was a deacon at the McDermott Congregation and a 1949 McDermott High School graduate.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Ronald Ball, 1961; two infant sisters, Mary Catherine Altman and Deloris Ann Altman; and one brother, James Rufus Altman.

Martha is survived by two sisters, Margaret Viola Krueger of Waverly and Esther Ivanov of Sterling, Colorado; and one brother, Donald H. Altman of McDermott.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at the McDermott Congregation of the Community of Christ with High Priest Ed Cable and Elder Sandy Cable officiating. Burial will follow in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call from 1 p.m. till the funeral hour Tuesday, at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
