Pamela Sue McCormick Brickmann

Pamela Sue McCormick Brickmann, 56, of Portsmouth, passed away Wednesday, Aug.18, 2021 at BridgePort Nursing Home in Portsmouth. Pam was born Oct. 16, 1964  in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Linda Ruth Gove McCormick and Cecil Clarence McCormick of Wheelersburg. She was a 1983 graduate of PHS and had graduated from the Lee University in Cleveland, TN with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Pam was a retired school teacher and a published poet and was affiliated with the Church of God. She loved her cats Brindal and Benzo (AKA Snacks),ocean cruising, the movie The Princess Bride and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Along with her father, Pam is survived by her brother, Joseph McCormick of McDermott; four sisters, Katrina McClurg of Portsmouth, Brenda McAfee of Newton, KS, Patricia McCormick of Ashland, KY and Barbara McCormick – Spriggs of Stafford, VA, her step-mother, Laura McCormick; many nieces, nephews and their families; and her friend, Keri Thompson of Sciotoville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021 at noon at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour. Dennis Dawes, minister, will officiate her services
