Mabel Ruth White

Mabel Ruth White, 82 of Minford passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at her residence. Born June 21, 1939 in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Allen Charles and Mabel Clara Bennett Kallner, she was retired from Goodyear Atomic Plant after over 25 years, and attended Fairview Missionary Baptish Church and in later years Piketon Church of Christ, Minister Shaun Young. Ruth loved to travel, shop and most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sister, Sarah Gilliland; Sarah’s children, Tisha Mizer and her son, Kyle Gilliland (Lori); Doug Gilliland and his two daughters, Jessica (Cody) Compton and their daughter, Kinlee, (Ruth’s little sunshine) Amy Gilliland (Tyler); niece, Penny Gilliland; Terri Young and her two sons, Daryl (Amy) Young and his children, Eric, Brianna, Ashleigh, Matthew; Shaun (Irish) Young and children, Allyson, Elijah, Caleb; two nieces, Barbara (Patrick) Day, Linda Locher; a great nephew and his wife, Jason and Krissy Locher; several other nieces and nephews; Paul’s children, Lana, Karen, Randy, Jeff, Kelly, and Lisa, her cat, Chloe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul White; three brothers, Forrest Kallner, Charles Kallner, David Kallner, and two sisters, Amanda Montgomery, and Ada Bradbury.

The family would like to thank SOMC Hospice for their excellent care.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Bill Melvin officiating. Burial will be at Bennett Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to any local charity of your choice.
