Margie J. McGowan

Margie J. McGowan, 95, of Wheelersburg passed away Friday July 16, 2021. She was born October 28, 1925 in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Alva and Mae Slack Cook.
She attended Bloom Freewill Baptist Church, was a fancy stitcher at the former Williams Manufacturing Co., loved to sew and do crafts.
Margie is survived by two nieces, Sandy McKnight, Gail Wagner, a sister in-law, Mildred Lambert as well as several other nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy McGowan in 1997; brothers, Paul Cook, Donald Cook and Charles Lloyd Cook; sisters, Avonell Slatzer, Ann McGowan and Clarice Mace.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday July 20, 2021 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with interment to follow at South Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 AM to 1 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
