Richard Wagner
Richard Wagner, 79, of Portsmouth, formerly of Lucasville, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at SOMC Hospice.
He was born October 15, 1941 in Lucasville, a son of the late Walter and Carrie McNamer Wagner.
Richard was the former Owner and Operator of Wagner’s Gulf Service Station in Lucasville for many years. He was a 1959 Valley High School graduate and a US Army Vietnam War veteran.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nina Jean Williams Wagner, March 29, 2014; three brothers, Ted, Bill, and Jimmy Wagner; and two sisters, Doris Beasley and Helen Murray.
He is survived by two daughters, Nikki (Karen) Wagner of Portsmouth, and Gabrielle Wagner of Portsmouth; one brother, Steve Wagner of Rootstown, Ohio; and three sisters, Margie Williams of Arvada, Colorado, Linda Remy of Waverly, and Bobbie Brush of Rosemount.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in Scioto Burial Park with Bob Alexander officiating. Graveside Military rites will be performed by the William Baker and James F. Irwin Posts of the American Legion, along with US Army Active Duty Representatives. Friends may call from noon to 1:30 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
