Kenneth R. Kilgore

Kenneth R. Kilgore, 78, of Firebrick, Kentucky passed away, Feb. 20, 2021 in Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born in South Portsmouth, Kentucky, Sept. 3, 1942, a son of the late Arthur Kilgore and Carmen Stephenson. Kenneth was retired from the CSX Railroad. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and a big UK Basketball fan.

Preceded in death besides his parents are one infant daughter, Kendra Kilgore, one brother, Ricky Hall, two sisters, Judy Beaver and Linda Boehm.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Wells Kilgore, one daughter, Kelly (Joey) McCann of Vanceburg, Kentucky, one son, Kendall (Marie) Kilgore of Firebrick, Kentucky, one brother, Roger Kilgore of South Shore, Kentucky, eight grandchildren, Kayla Kilgore, Blake Kilgore, Justin (Paige) McCann, Jordan (Emily) McCann and Jeremy McCann, Cole Cooper, Kirkland Cochran and Hailee Cochran, eight great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Rev. Raymond Lewis, officiating. Burial will follow in Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, Kentucky. Friends may call from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 1 p.m. on Friday. Due to Covid restrictions, face covering and social distancing are required.

Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Kilgore, Justin McCann, Jordan McCann, Jeremy McCann, Cole Cooper and Chris Dyer.
