Donna “Susie” (Rase) Glenn

Donna “Susie” (Rase) Glenn, 71, of Westerville, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 in Columbus after being diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. She was born October 26, 1949 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Leah Jane (Franck) and Willard Rase. Donna was a proud graduate of Valley High School in Lucasville and of Ohio University. After teaching elementary school, she and Leroy “Buck” Glenn opened Glenn Bookkeeping Service in Columbus.

Susie was a dedicated Lutheran Church attendee. She enjoyed lunches with friends and time with her family. She constantly put others’ needs before her own. While cancer may have stolen this beautiful soul from us, Susie will have the last laugh; she would not have wanted to watch Jeopardy! without Alex Trebeck. She is forever a part of our hearts and we are better for having known her.

Surviving is her husband, Leroy “Buck” Glenn, whom she married in Columbus on March 24, 1978; her daughter, Rachel (Andy) Bean of Westerville, two granddaughters, Delaney and Dani Bean; and her sister, Marsha Rase of Lexington, KY; and all of her Valley girls.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Rase.

The family will receive friends at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth Thursday from 1 to 3 P.M. Interment will follow in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery with Pastor Norman Staker officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
