Sharon Irene Aldridge

Sharon Irene Aldridge, 68 of Portsmouth passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at SOMC Hospice. Born May 4, 1952 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late George and Belva McCammon Roush, she was a 1970 Minford High School graduate and attended Welcome Home Christian Fellowship. Sharon was a CNA and worked in housekeeping for different nursing homes.

She is survived by one daughter, Crystal (Michael) Steele; one son, Joseph Smith; five grandchildren, Thomas (Micah) Caudill, Raquel Caudill, Trace Smith, Christi (Chris) Collins, Deana Smith; three great grandchildren, Thomas Lee Caudill, Ryleigh Langdon, Brayden Langdon; three brothers, George (Susie) Roush, John Roush, Larry (Aggie) Roush, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl E. Aldridge April 4, 1999, and two sisters, Debbi Collins and Shelby Benner.

Funeral services will be conducted at Noon Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Roy Bennett officiating. Burial will be at South Webster Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
