Roy Raymond Hobbs

Roy Raymond Hobbs, 70 of Blue Creek died Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at SOMC Hospice.  He was born July 15, 1950 in Adams County to the late Tommy and Ola Thacker Hobbs.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Ruth Hobbs and 3 brothers; Lowell Thomas Hobbs, Billy Donald Hobbs, and Lloyd Douglas Hobbs.

Roy is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Brian) Hickman, 4 grandchildren; Brittany Williams, Christopher Hickman, Madison Hickman, and Morgan Hickman, 3 great grandchildren; Evelyn Williams, Vivian Williams, and Scarlet Williams, 2 brothers; Tommy (Sheila) Hobbs Jr. and Phillip (Lisa) Hobbs, 6 sisters; Phyllis (Jim) Green, Jean Hobbs, Norma Stacy, Rosemary (Walter) Vozey, Diane Ferrier, and Linda Duncan, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Sheila Hobbs officiating and interment in Drake Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday starting at 11:00 AM.  Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
