Esther Louise Burkitt, 75, of Piketon, Ohio passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at her home. She was born November 12, 1945 in Pike County, Ohio to the late Pearl and Della Humphrey Lambert. On February 14, 1962 she was united in marriage to George Burkitt who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Dwayne Burkitt and wife Melissa of Marysville, Ohio and Mick Burkitt and wife Lori of Piketon; granddaughters, Jessica Burkitt, Erica Burkitt, Dana (Tyler) Rush, Kellyn Burkitt and Kyla Burkitt; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Lambert and Ralph (Betty) Lambert; and sisters Betty Leeth, Ruby (Roger) Tackett, and Faye (Jeff) Spriggs. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Howard and Paul Lambert and a sister, Irene Hall.
Esther was a bank teller at First National Bank for 28 years. She also sang and played piano at Cotties Corner Church for over 35 years.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastors Dave Hopkins and Kevin Greene officiating. Burial will follow in Cotties Corner Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
