Jeremiah Braden Baker

Jeremiah Braden Baker, aka “Jake”, 19, of Lucasville passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born October 4, 2001 in Portsmouth, a son of Tim and Lissa Baker of Lucasville.
Jeremiah was a 2020 Valley High School graduate where he was a former Class President, member of the National Honor Society, and the Track Team. He was a talented musician, avid outdoorsman, and member of the Jefferson Township Volunteer Fire Department. Jeremiah was a devoted Christian member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in New Boston where he assisted in the Youth Ministry.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul McNutt; and great-grandparents, James A. and Juanita Baker.
Jeremiah is also survived by grandparents Ron and Priscilla Baker Sr. of Lucasville and Sheila McNutt of New Boston; one brother, Joey (Chelsea) Baker of Lucasville; niece, Arabella; nephews Axel and Bryar; and his German Shepherd, Koda.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church, 4140 Gallia, New Boston, OH with Pastor Ron Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens. Friends may call from 1 p.m. till the funeral hour at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
