Harold Gene White

Harold Gene (White Dawg) White, 47 of Portsmouth Ohio, died Monday, October 19, 2020 at his home. He was born March 17, 1973 to the late Harold Sr. and Connie White. Also preceding him in death are his aunt Deborah Lewis and uncle Glenn Gilchrist.

Harold is survived by two daughters: Melanie (Chris) White and Natosha White and their mother, Gwen Mungle. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Damauri Johnson, Jericho White and Karmon White. Two sisters: Bonita Fayson and Lorna (Chris) Poore. Two brothers: Mark Gilchrist and Bryan White. Special nephews: Adrian (Michelle) Fayson, Beau (Abbi) White, Angelo Spaulding (Jen) and Dion Gambill. Special nieces: Shiara (Rodrick) Coney and Nikiyah Fayson. Also a loving aunt Denise Lewis and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lifelong best friends: Tyrone Adams, Cory Reeves, Terrill Lewis, Malik Taylor, Bryon Underwood and the Mungle/Lewis family.

Harold was legendary in the Northend for making people laugh and being silly. If you were his friend he gave you a nickname of his choosing, whether you liked it or not. He loved fishing, collecting and running electric trains and listening to 80s music. Harold was a loyal and fierce Oakland Raiders fan! His attire was always silver and black…commitment to excellence!

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth. A visitation for friends and family will be on Tuesday, from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.

Harold loved his family, kids and grandkids with his whole heart..an unbreakable bond that death cannot break. Harold loved the Lord and he knew exactly where he would spend eternity. He will be missed every day by family and friends. Forever in our hearts ❤️
