Lillian Kathleen Mehaffey

Lillian Kathleen Mehaffey, age 86 of Lucasville, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Hill View Retirement Center.  She was born on July 13, 1933 in Lucasville to the late Edgar Glenn Throckmorton and Geneva Hiles Throckmorton.  On August 18, 1951 she was united in marriage to the late Samuel Everett Mehaffey who preceded her death.  Surviving are four sons, Randy Allen Mehaffey of Lucasville, Bryan Mehaffey of Lucasville, Dwayne (Sherry) Mehaffey of West Portsmouth and Kim Lyle (Rhonda) Mehaffey of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, two brothers, Jim (Sue) Throckmorton and Ron (Sara) Throckmorton; a sister, Marge (Roger Paul) Copas and a daughter in law, Bev Mehaffey of Portsmouth and special friend Don Pertuset.  In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son; Frank Dale Mehaffey, three brothers, Albert Throckmorton, Leroy Throckmorton and Marion Throckmorton and one sister, Norma Groves

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hill View Retirement Center and SOMC Hospice for the care they provided to Lillian.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the McCullough Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Davis officiating.  The family will receive friends at McCullough Baptist Church from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.   Burial will follow in Rockwell Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway.
