Raymond Lee Holdren
Raymond Lee Holdren, 79, of Piketon, Ohio passed away Friday, August 2, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born March 13, 1940 in Washington Court House, son of the late Raymond Parker and Forrest Holdren. On July 12, 1959 he was united in marriage to Sandra Osborne Holdren who survives. Also surviving are three children, Becky Lightle and husband John of Erath, Louisiana, Greg Holdren and wife Audra of Bainbridge, Ohio and Rodney Holdren and wife Lisa of Chillicothe, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Ryan (Ashley), Cassie (Ryann), Brandy (Jason), Nikki, Cory, Alyssa (Shawn), Andrew, Danielle and Lee; eighteen great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a son, Terry Ray Holdren and five sisters.
Ray was employed by Piketon High School for 30 years, a member of Masonic Lodge Orient #321 of Waverly, Pike County Shrine Club, Pike County Hillbilly Clan 8 and Aladdin Shrine Temple. He was also a member of Givens Chapel Church.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Newberry officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery, Piketon. Family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7:00 p.m. Following the graveside everyone is invited to a family gathering in the Piketon Administration Building.
