Jack F. Willis

Jack F. Willis Age 80, of Florence, KY, formerly of Sciotoville, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at his home.  He was born July 1, 1938 in Portsmouth to Bernard and Lena (Monroe) Willis.  Jack was a graduate of East High School and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army.  He retired after working 37 years for the Norfolk Southern Railroad as a Chief Clerk.  He moved to Florence, KY in 1969 where he was very active as a baseball coach, was supervisor of the Boone County Girls Softball League for over 20 years, and the Boone County Knothole Baseball League.  He was a member of the Florence Lions Club and Northern Kentucky Bluegrass Association.

Jack is survived by his wife, Emma; three sons, Jimmy, Mike, and Tony Willis, all of Florence, KY; brother, Chuck Willis of Adel, GA; sisters, Katie Leightenheimer of Cedarville, Carolyn Bates of Jacksonville, FL, Mona McManus of NC, Martha Bussey of Portsmouth; two grandchildren, Aaron and Ashley Willis.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Keith Willis in infancy; a sister, Penny Feltzer.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2019 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville with Pastor Michael McManus officiating.  Interment will follow at Old Wheelersburg Cemetery in Wheelersburg.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service.  Fond memories of Jack and expressions of condolence may be shared at www.WolfeNelsonFuneralHome.com.
