David Paul Blaney

David Paul Blaney, 64, of Waverly, Ohio passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Adena Pike Medical Center, Waverly.  He was born April 13, 1954 in Givens, Ohio son of the late Byron Blaney and Esther Groeteke Blaney.  On July 20, 1996 he was united in marriage to Yvonne Neeshan Blaney who survives.  Also surviving are a son, Richard “Ricky” Paul Blaney of Waverly; a stepson, Steve Brofford of Piketon, Ohio; a daughter, Misty Blaney; several grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a son, Craig Blaney and two sisters, Pat Blaney and Beverly Bryant.

David was a U.S. Army veteran and retired as a sawmill laborer.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2019 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Keith Shook officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Chillicothe, Ohio with military graveside honors provided by American Legion Merritt Post 142.  Family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
