Charlotte Horsley
Charlotte Horsley, 92, a former Gephart Road, Wheelersburg area resident, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Minford Retirement Center in Minford.
Born January 21, 1927 in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Alva “Doc” Arnold and Lena Katherine (Anderson) Arnold, she was a lifelong resident of Scioto County. She was a member of the former Adams Memorial United Methodist Church at Slocum Station, a graduate of Clay High School in the class of 1944, and a lifetime member of the Victory Chapter No. 134 Disabled American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Tim Allen of Minford; a granddaughter, Andrea (Patrick) Murphy of Canal Winchester; a grandson, Weston Allen of Kawkawlin, Michigan; four grandchildren, Maureen Murphy, Skylar Allen, Margaret “Maggie” Murphy, Mary Murphy; a sister, June (Gene) Porter of Wheelersburg; two brothers, Walter Arnold of Lucasville, Floyd Arnold of Sciotodale and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Horsley, Jr. on June 11, 1989, whom she married on June 7, 1946.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Jason Coriell officiating. Burial will be in Universal Cemetery in Rubyville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
