Doris Ann Gilliland Rose Smittle Riddlebarger

Doris Ann Gilliland Rose Smittle Riddlebarger, 80, of South Shore passed away Friday, January 18, 2019 at SOMC. Born June 24, 1938, the 3rd daughter of the late Adrian & Muriel (Crabtree) Gilliland and wife of Ron Riddlebarger. She was a retired nurse and mother of five children: Kevin W. (Needa) Rose of Dyersburg, TN, Suzanne Rose (Jeffery) Pelham of Hawaii, Erin Correen Smittle of Portsmouth, Bruce Julian McCormick of Columbus, Brennan Todd Smittle of Dayton; step-children, Jeff (Lorrie) Riddlebarger, Tim Riddlebarger, Robin (Scott) Hornback, Tina (Jim) Johnson; five grandchildren, Nathen Rose, Daniel Hart, Devon Maund, Kristin Meadows, Ferris Smittle; great grandchildren, Matthew Franklin, Elle Rose, Casper Rose, Daniel Hart, Jr., Millie Lee; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren especially Gabriella Bray, and two sisters, Wanda Smith and Helen Burton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Rose, Donald Smittle; one grandson, John Zane Pelham; two sisters, Erma Bender, Dorothy Cade, and one brother, Russell Gilliland.
