John Harrison

Age 61, of Gallipolis, formerly of Lucasville, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 in Columbus.  He was born in Portsmouth on January 17, 1957 to Thurman and Bonnie (Crace) Harrison.  John attended Valley High School and worked as a Technician for AT&T.  He enjoyed playing music on the guitar, banjo, and dulcimer, woodworking, and showing vehicles at car shows.  He was a 25-year member of the Western Sun Masonic Lodge, #91 at attended Wesleyan Church in Crown City, Ohio.

John is survived by his wife, Linda Harrison; daughters, Michelle (Raymond) Allard of Portsmouth and Lisa (David) Elliott of Ft. Myers, FL; sister, Susan Harrison; grandchildren, Matt Allard, Ryan Allard, Alex Hickman, Morgan Silvey, Allie Rice, Madison Rice; and four great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2019 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Gary Heimbach officiating.  Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.  Friends may call Sunday from 5 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Masonic services held at 7:00 p.m. by Western Sun Masonic Lodge, #91.  Friends may also call one hour prior to the service on Monday.  Fond memories and expressions of condolence may be shared at www.DWSwickNelsonFuneralHome.com.
