Eldon Horne

Eldon Horne, 98, former Clarktown resident, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Willow Brook Christian Home in Columbus. Born July 11, 1920 in Greenup, KY, a son of the late Albert Newton and Elsie Margaret (Beckett) Horne, he was an U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Clay Brown of Westerville; three grandchildren, Jared Brown, Katy Brown, Joshua Brown; a niece, Kim White of Columbus, and two nephews, Cecil Stone of Orlando, FL and Brian White of Columbus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Horne on March 18, 2008; two brothers, Ardle Horne, Edwin Horne, and three sisters, Audra Stuart, Zelda Stone, and Opal White. Special thanks to Riverbend House, Wheelersburg and Willow Brook Christian Home, Columbus for their support, love and outstanding care. Also, thanks to Heartland Hospice for their amazing help this past month.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Clay Brown officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
