Jolissa Roberts

Jolissa “Joey” Renee Roberts, 37, of West Portsmouth, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 as a result of an auto accident.  She was born on August 11, 1981 in Chillicothe, Ohio daughter of Ray (Toni Graves) Roberts of Piketon, Ohio and Jan Ferguson (Rhett) Butler also of Piketon.

Also surviving is a sister, Jenna (John) Chatfield of Covington, Kentucky; niece Jayda and nephews Jaren and Joel Chatfield and fiancé, Jimmy Neace of West Portsmouth.

Jolissa was a Clinical Supervisor for The Recovery Council Inc.

Jolissa’s life’s work was helping others recover from addiction. In her many years working for The Recovery Council, Inc. she touched countless lives, providing a light in the dark on the road to recovery. She was a beloved daughter, sister, fiancée, and friend. To her niece and nephews, she was adored as “Aunt Joey.” Jolissa always made time for her many friends and family; she knew what was important in life.  Her presence brought a feisty, joyful, and positive outlook to each and every relationship.  She will be remembered for her tremendous laugh and the impact she had on her loved ones and the community around her. To say that she will be missed cannot even begin to express the void she is leaving behind.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 17, 2018 at New Covenant Church of Christ in Christian Union in Waverly with Pastor Barry Penn officiating.  Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery, Piketon.  Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
