Marilyn Osmeyer

Marilyn Osmeyer, 94, of Portsmouth, formerly of Lucasville, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Hillview Health Care in Portsmouth.
She was born May 17, 1924 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Carl and Emma Ruth Myers Sumner.
Marilyn was a retired cook for the Valley Local School District, a member of Christ’s Community Church, member of the Lucasville Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, and a 1942 Portsmouth High School graduate.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Merle Glen Osmeyer, October, 31, 1984; one son, Ralph Cox; her grandson, Keith Parsley; and two sisters, Clarice Liston and Wanda Sesterhenn.
Marilyn is survived by two sons, Ed (Rosie) Cox of Minford, William “Butch” (Connie) Osmeyer of Westerville; two daughters, Sandra Cooper of Portsmouth and Linda (Gene) Tennace of Redmond, Oregon; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2018 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Ralph Clay officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 6:45 p.m prior to the funeral service. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Scioto Burial Park.
