Donald Ray Lambert, Sr.
Donald Ray Lambert, Sr., 81, of Minford passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018 at his residence. Born August 16, 1937 in McDowell, Kentucky, a son of the late Edd Ellis and Mary Elizabeth Elliott Lambert, he was a retired supervisor for ODOT, a farmer, a US Naval Reserve veteran and a member of Little Ettie Old Regular Baptist Church.
He is survived by five children, Carol Lambert, Patty Lambert, Donald (Sherri) Lambert, Jr., Rhonda (Mark) Burchett, Melinda Lambert; five grandchildren, Erica (Nathan) Lambert-Welch, Tiffany Lambert, Trent Burchett, Tanner (Katie) Lambert, Brittney Burchett; one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Charlotte Rose Welch; one brother, Claude Lambert; four sisters-in-law, Joyce Lambert, Edna Lambert, Jean Zaranko, and Rosanne Firestone, and two brothers-in-law, Kenny (Patty) Whisman, Bill Bair. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Louise Whisman Lambert; five brothers, Charles Lambert, Moscow Lambert, Marvin Lambert, Walden Lambert, James Lambert, and three sisters, Hazel Brafford, Opal Stickney and Kansas Gilliam.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Paul Matthews, Elder officiating. Burial will be at Salisbury Cemetery in Lucasville. Friends may call Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
