Charles Franklin Wood, Jr.

Charles Franklin Wood Jr. 79, of Lucasville, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington.
He was born July 22, 1939 in Portsmouth, a son of Emma Altman Brown of West Portsmouth, and the late Charles Franklin Wood Sr.
Charles was also preceded in death by his step-father, Jess Brown.
He was a self employed salesman and trader, and a former member of the Poultry Association. Charles was a volunteer fireman serving as former chief for both the Union and Morgan Volunteer Fire Departments.
He is survived by many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ida Chambliss of Lucasville, and Phyllis Ross of West Portsmouth.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in Rushtown Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
