Harriette Ann Whisman

Harriette Ann Whisman, 85, of Blue Creek, passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 at SOMC Hospice.
She was born January 30, 1933 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Stanley and Pearl Gilliam Pelphrey.
Harriette was a homemaker, attended Clay Schools, and attended Pond Run Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Whisman, November 28, 1987; one grandson, Terry Joe Whisman; and one sister, Doris Jean Pelphrey.
Harriette is survived by two sons, Farrell (Kay) Whisman and Randy (Lisa) Whisman, both of Blue Creek; seven grandchildren, Tabitha Dawn Whisman, Eric (Candi) Whisman, Beth (Mike) Hager, Tyler (Sarah) Whisman, Megan Whisman, Laine (Jason) Young, and Donald Neal Whisman; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Lois Blevins of Centerville, Janet Kiser of Petersburg, Virginia, Sue Munn of Clarktown; and special niece Tonya Entler.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon, Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Pond Run Baptist Church with Jim McCullough officiating. Burial will follow in McKendree Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville and an hour prior to the service at the church.
