Dewey Smith, Jr.

Age 65, of South Webster, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Southern Ohio Medical Center.  He was born June 9, 1953 to Dewey and Pauline (Farley) Smith in Logan, West Virginia.  Dewey was a graduate of South Webster High School.  He enjoyed fishing, riding four wheelers with his grandchildren, and collecting coins.

Dewey is survived by three sons, Dewey Smith III (Kari Ann) of Wheelersburg, Michael D. Smith (Kristi) of Wheelersburg, and Timothy Taylor (Mary) of South Webster; a brother, Keith Smith (Renee) of South Webster; three sisters, Christine Ferrell of Minford, Joyce Montgomery (Jim) of Minford, and Wealthy Neff (Steve) of South Webster; seven grandchildren.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol F. Smith; two brothers, Arnold Adkins, and Bill Smith; a sister, Rita Cunningham.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2018 at D.W. SWICK – NELSON FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Rick Arthur officiating. Interment will follow at Pinkerman Cemetery in South Webster. Friends may call Sunday from 12:00 (noon) until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
