Sharon Sue Franklin, 77, of Lucasville, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at SOMC Hospice.
She was born February 24, 1941 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Denver and Violet Slye McManus.
Sharon was a homemaker, a 1959 Portsmouth High School graduate and a member of the Fundamental Independent Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Thomas Franklin whom she married July 3, 1959 in Tazwell, Virginia; one daughter, Rebecca (David) Caseman of Waverly; two sons, Thomas Joseph (Barbara) Franklin of Florence, Kentucky and Samuel Anthony Franklin of Rosemount; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dallas McManus of Circleville; and one sister, Beulah Kelly of Houston, Texas.
Sharon was also preceded in death by one son, Jerry Matthew Franklin.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon, Friday, September 21, 2018 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Al Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and an hour prior to the funeral Friday.
