Kathleen Hammonds
Our beloved Kathleen Hammonds, 65, of Lucasville, passed away on September 11, 2018 at SOMC Hospice after a long battle with cancer.
She was born May 15, 1953 in Franklin Furnace, a daughter of the late Earl Lee and Alvenia Borders White.
Kathleen was a homemaker and a 1971 Valley High School graduate. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother. She loved to cook, crochet, fish and spend time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Rachel (Matt) Carter of Panama City Beach, FL; two sons, Russell Lee Hammonds of Lucasville and Thomas Lewis Jones Jr. of Columbus; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Vanzel White of Lucasville; and one sister, Joann Kazee of Waverly.
Kathleen was also preceded in death by one brother, Earl Lee White Jr.; and two sisters, Ernestine White, and Elizabeth Colley.
Memorial services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Larry Moore officiating. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. before the service.
