Walter David Netzer

Walter David Netzer, 74, of Lucasville passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Ohio State University Medical Center.
He was born September 10 1943 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Walter Joseph and Hester Kennedy Netzer.
David was a retired Chemical Engineer for United State Enrichment Corporation with over 30 years of service and a US Army veteran. He was a 1961 Portsmouth High School graduate, received his Bachelor of Science degree from Case Western in 1969, and a Master’s of Science degree from the Ohio State University in 1977.
He is survived by his son, Samuel Nathan Netzer of Waverly; and his former wife and caregiver, Tammy Netzer of Waverly.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018 in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg with Ed Cox officiating. Graveside military rites will be performed by the William A. Baker and James F. Irwin Posts of the American Legion. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
The family would like to extend a special thank you for their tender loving care to all his caregivers and home health aides from SOMC, Adena (Waverly and Chillicothe), Heartland, and Bristol Village.
