Rocky Jo Messer

Rocky Joe Messer, 41 of Rosemount, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018. He was born on September 19, 1976 in Portsmouth, the son of Randall Eugene Messer and Marilyn (Rick) Clark, whom survive.  Rocky was a Marine Corp Veteran, Register Nurse in I.C.U for the Southern Ohio Medical Center, a paramedic for both Rosemount Squad 12 and Portsmouth Ambulance and an instructor in both A.C.L.S and C.P. R.

     Rocky is also survived by his companion and sidekick, Brooke Vaughters of Rosemount; 5 children, Zackary Joe and Zander Isaac Messer both of Lucasville, Alyra Jo Messer of Portsmouth, Jake Thomas and Cole Alexander Messer of Rosemount; two brothers, Corey (Christine) Messer of Lancaster and Jason (Janelle) Messer of Zanesville, his dog Dash and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Adkins Family Funeral Home in Portsmouth, with Pastor Pete Shaffer officiating, with interment at the Rosemount Cemetery with military graveside rites will be provided by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10a.m. until the funeral hour.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Adkins Family Funeral Home to help with the expenses.
