Juanita Carol Fitzgerald, 80, of Lucasville, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at Southern Ohio Medical Center’s emergency room.
She was born February 23, 1938 in Mineral Springs, Ohio, the daughter of the late Homer and Oce McGown Matheny.
Juanita was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Herman Fitzgerald III; three brothers, Calvin, Paul, and Harry Matheny; and one sister, Geneva Clemmons.
Juanita is survived by her daughter, Susan Brandel of Boise, Idaho; two grandchildren; three brothers, Ray Matheny of Lucasville, Leo Matheny of Peebles, and Ronnie Matheny of Waverly; and two sisters, Audrey Mitchell of Peebles and Pauline Campbell of Phoenix, Arizona.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Antioch Baptist Church with brother Ray Matheny officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour before the service. Arrangements are under the direction of the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
