Randy Wayland Traylor
Age 83 of West Portsmouth passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at SOMC Hospice. He was born April 22, 1935 in Greenup KY to Jesse and Amanda (Marshall) Traylor. Randy honorably served his country as a member of the U.S. Marines and worked as a laborer in construction. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling and was a member of the Western Sun Masonic Lodge #91.
Randy is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Adkins) Traylor; son, Mark Traylor of South Webster; daughter, Jennifer Jordan of Wheelersburg; grandchildren, Kane Traylor, Jonah Jordan, Adeline Love, and Marcus Andrew Traylor, all of Wheelersburg; stepchildren, Tammie (John) Rawlins of West Portsmouth, Brian (Angie) Shephard of Wheelersburg, Joshua (Crystal) of West Portsmouth, Nathaniel Shephard of West Portsmouth; 8 step-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Buck Traylor; sister, Chlotine Eldridge; and previous wife, Lorine Traylor.
Funeral service will be held11:00 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2018 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Carl Rose officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace with military honors provided by James Dickey Post #23, American Legion. Friends may call Sunday from 6 – 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
