Cuba Marie Piatt

Age 75 of Wheelersburg, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 at SOMC in Portsmouth.  She was born November 22, 1942 in Rubyville to Boyd and Myrtle (Frye) Payne.  Cuba married Gerald Piatt in McDermott on April 18, 1959 and spent her life as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She enjoyed shopping and baking sweets, especially for her appreciative family.  Cuba loved going to church and attended Faith Baptist Church in Wheelersburg and New Beginnings Outreach in Beaver.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald Piatt; daughters, Karrie (Mark) Crumm of Wheelersburg, Cindy Piatt (Michael Warren) of Wheelersburg; brother, Bill (Barb) Payne of McDermott; sisters, Kay (Steve) Collins of West Portsmouth, Karlene Ruggles of Wheelersburg, Carla (Dan) Craft of Portsmouth; grandchild, Kurtis Crumm (Mercedes McDaniels) of Waverly; great-grandchild, Josiah Crumm.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Payne, and grandsons, Kent Strickland Piatt and Robert Crumm.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg with Pastor Bryan White officiating.  Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.  Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 – 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.  Online condolences may be shared atwww.DWSwickNelsonFuneralHome.com.
