Roger Lee Maloney

Age 81 of South Webster, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 16, 2018.  Roger is survived by Nancy, his wife of 60 years.

He is also survived by his five children, Kim Jenkins, Steve (Traci), Kerry (Sue), and Jeremy (Nikki) Maloney, Kelli (Roger) Sessor; his 12 grandchildren, Eric and Jaisa Maloney, Ali, Caitlin, and Faith Maloney, Levi and Seth Jenkins, Kaylee (Michael) Cheesman, Megan, Emily Abbi, and Andrew Sessor, and special grandchildren, Hannah (Aaron) Wick, TJ Baker, Eli and James Rawlins (and their families); two special great-granddaughters, Jessa and Jaice Wicker; and a special sister, Juanita Cole.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Mabel Maloney and his beloved grandson, Garrett Maloney.

Roger graduated from South Webster High School in 1954 and was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State fan.  He kept a prayer chain going in the South Webster community for many, many years and worked many years placing flags on graves of veterans in the South Webster cemetery.  He was a volunteer Firefighter for the South Webster Fire Department for most of his life.  Roger loved South Webster sports and helped with the track team for several years.  He also served in the United States Navy from 1954-1963.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Merit Smith officiating.  Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery.  Friends may call on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 6 – 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Roger’s name can be made to D.W.
