Wilford Leroy Ferrell

 

Age 81 of Wheelersburg, left this world of pain for his heavenly home, surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, July 9, 2018.  Born on September 13, 1936 in Lyra to the late James and Arlena Boggs Ferrell, he was retired from Laborer’s Local #83.  He was a member of South Webster Baptist Church.  Also preceding him in death were two sons, Mark and Marty; daughter-in-law, Marilyn; grandson, Richard Stapleton; seven brothers, Fred, Clifford, Harold, Willie, John, Glen, and Dewey Ferrell; two sisters, Ester Ferrell and Maude Armstrong.

Wilford is survived by his wife, Joy (Rawlins) Ferrell; five sons, Jason, Jack, and David Ferrell, Wesley (Rosa) and Keith McGlone; two daughters, Tamra Skinner and Beverly (Jay) Turvey; eleven grandchildren, Stephanie (Bill) Craft, Stacie (Travis) Lockhart, Casey (Danielle) Hammonds, Wade (Keiche) and Justin Porter, Alisha, Keisha, Rickie, and David McGlone, Daisha (Vince) Duarte, and Jamey Turvey; thirteen great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Alexis, Breana, William, and Jamie Craft, Scott, Nathaniel, Christopher, and Elizabeth Lockhart, Elijah Hammonds, Tyler and Logan Porter, Koby McGlone; his four brothers, Troy (Lola) Floyd, Ralph and Danny Ferrell.  He will be missed by his church family.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at South Webster Baptist Church with Pastor Ed Taylor officiating.  Interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery.  Friends may call on Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. at D.W.
