Darlene Romona Moore, 77, of Otway, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at SOMC Hospice.
She was born February 3, 1941 in Lucasville, a daughter of the late Howard and Beulah Gentry Benner.
Darlene was a homemaker and former Security Central National Bank employee. She was a 1959 Valley High School graduate and a huge Cincinnati Reds fan. Darlene was a Scioto County Ambassador and tour guide for the Portsmouth Murals giving over hundreds of tours for 17 years.
She is survived by her husband, Gail Moore, whom she married August 5, 1961 in Lucasville; two sons, Scott (Neva) Moore of Otway, and Steven (Jennifer) Moore of Otway; one daughter, Tamela (John) Morton of Otway; two grandchildren, Rachael and Jacob; and three great-grandchildren.
Darlene was also preceded in death by her brothers, Hersel, Harry, Bill, Howard Jr. and Carl Benner; and two sisters, Annalue Heath, and Judy Wright.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon, Monday, July 2, 2018 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Daron Lilly officiating. Burial will follow in Lucasville Cemetery. Friends may call 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday and an hour before the funeral Monday at the funeral home.
