Marjorie A. Kirkpatrick
Age 87 of Wheelersburg went to be with the Lord June 14, 2018 at River Bend House in Wheelersburg. She was born September 16, 1930 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to John and Violet (Allen) Huffman. She graduate from White Sulphur Springs High School in 1949. Marjorie enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was a past president of the Wheelersburg Garden Club and was of the Christian faith.
She is survived by a son, Jim (Jeannie) Kirkpatrick of Wheelersburg; a daughter, Joyce (Dan) Piatt of Wheelersburg; five grandchildren, Dana (Roger) Smith of Indianapolis, IN, Kimberley (Chad) Egelhoff of Salt Lake City, UT, John (Kasey) Kirkpatrick of Franklin Furnace, Josh Kirkpatrick of West Portsmouth, Ryan (Jade) Kirkpatrick of Portsmouth; six great-grandchildren, Shelbie, Cole, and Baylee Smith, Olivia, Korbin, and Jensen Kirkpatrick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2011 by her husband of 62 years, Bill; four brothers, John, Marshall, Kenneth, and Freddie Huffman; one grandson in infancy, John Daniel Piatt.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg with Pastor Calvin Ray Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call Monday from 5 – 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
