Gareth Conley

Gareth Conley, 77 of Long Fork Rd. Piketon, Ohio died Tuesday June 19, 2018 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born on June 20, 1940 in Piketon, Ohio to the late John B. and Esther Rapp Conley.

He was united in marriage on June 20, 1943 to Judy Lee Tackett Conley who survives. Also surviving are a son, Eric Conley and wife Angie of Waverly, a daughter, Vicky Howard and husband Jimmy of Waverly, a step son, Paul Francis of Piketon, grandchildren: Nathan Howard, Aleshia Liming, Sean, Johnny, and Brittany Conley, Shyla Radcliff, Michael Hammer, Jeffrey and Cindy Francis, and 10 great grandchildren. One brother, Tim Conley and wife Vicky of Chillicothe, and a sister, Debbie Pennisten and husband Larry of Chillicothe, and his brother-in-law, Marvin Angus also of Chillicothe.

He was preceded in death by a son, Pylon Conley, two step sons, Curtis Francis and Jeffrey D. Francis, a step daughter, Julie Caldwell, and a sister, Elaine Angus, and a great grandchild.

He was retired from CHILPACO with 37 years of service and attended the Waverly Congregation, Jehovah’s Witness Church.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Rick Parkinson officiating. Burial follow in the Waverly Evergreen Union Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
