Lillian Shirey Coleman

The strong and beautiful Lillian Shirey Coleman passed to Christ on June 7, 2018. Full of spirit and sparkle, she made her own sunshine and bad times good. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union in Tuttleville, where she was song leader and Sunday school teacher. Lily worked in ICU at SOMC and home health care for several years. Lily was preceded in death by her husband, father of her children, Robert Lee Shirey and two beloved babies, Sandra and Sharon. She was also preceded in death by second husband, Bill Coleman. She leaves four children to treasure her, Robert Shirey, Mary Barron, Greg Shirey and Sonna Berry. Grandchildren are Bo Shirey, Micah and Gabriel Glenn, Gregory and Noah Shirey, Lana Berry and Shaye Coburn. Lily has 12 great- grandchildren to whom she passes her strength and beauty. She is survived by siblings, Carl, Walter and Charlotte Tackett, Hazel Gee and Catherine Sowards. Her children rise up and called her blessed. Fly on, Lily. We’ll see you again.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Dennis Bell officiating. Burial will be at Moore’s Chapel in Blue Creek.
