Charlotte M. Bice

Charlotte M. Bice, 94 of McDermott, died Sunday June 10, 2018 at Bridgeport Nursing Home. She was born September 6, 1923 in Portsmouth to the late Charles R. and Naomi Meenach Roark. She was a 1941 graduate of Portsmouth West High School and former owner of Bices Sohio in Friendship. She also sold Stanley Home Products for many years.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Fred Bice Jr. who she married on June 10, 1948, a son; Michael Lee Bice, a brother; Woodrow Roark, and 2 sisters; Darlene Loevenguth and Alberta Patrick.

Charlotte is survived by a daughter Sharon (Chuck) Whittaker of McDermott, a brother; Charles (Inga) Roark of Leesburg, a daughter in law; Connie Bice of Hillard, 9 grandchildren; Greg (April) Whittaker, Steven (Terri) Whittaker, Jeff (Christi) Whittaker, Kathy (Matt) Cooper, Michelle (Jeff) Tenwalde, Michael (Amanda) Bice, Melissa Bice, Matthew (Brandy) Bice, and Megan (Mike) King, 15 great grandchildren; Chris (Kendra), Tawny, Kylie, Madison, McKenzie, Luke and Cecelia Whittaker, Will, Ryan, and Amanda Cooper, Jeffrey Tenwalde, Kyler Bice, Trevor, Colton and Blake King, 3 great great grandchildren; Lincoln Jakacky and Remy Brodt, and one on the way, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Rick Phillips officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday starting at noon.  The family would like Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care and would like memorial contributions made to them in Charlotte’s name.
