James Arnold Baldwin

James Arnold (Jamie) Baldwin, 77 of McDermott, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at SOMC Hospice.
He was born March 19, 1941 in Burdine, Kentucky, a son of the late William Clifton and Juanita Hamby Baldwin.
Jamie was a former employee of the McKinley Funeral Home with over 31 years of service and attended Rubyville Community Church. He was a former Rush Township Trustee, former Boy Scout Leader, and singer in several gospel music groups. Jamie was a selfless dedicated volunteer with the Rush Township Volunteer Fire Department for over 45 years and a member of Scioto Squad #2 for over 30 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 56 years, Janice Kay Pertuset Baldwin, whom he married October 30, 1962 in Lucasville; two daughters, Julie (Keith) McCain of Rosemount, and Melissa (Mark) Spradlin of McDermott; one son, Jeff (Cathy) Baldwin of Greenville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Tiffany Baldwin, Todd McCain, David Baldwin, and Kyle McCain; four great-grandchildren, Aiden, Landon, Kinley, and Kami; several step great-grandchildren; and one sister, Nadeena Vargas of Lakewood, Colorado.
Jamie was also preceded in death by four brothers, Norman, William, Oddis, and Glelan Baldwin; and two sisters, Blanche Dunlap and Betty Odel.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon, Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Rubyville Community Church with Calvin Ray Evans and Brian Baer officiating.  Burial will follow in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville and an hour before the funeral Monday at the church.
